Size 2 or 22?
If there is one thing I have learned as a curvy woman, it's that no matter how hard I try there is nothing I can put on my body that will make me look like a size 2 or even a size 12 for that matter. The minute I realized that... I was able to accept what I saw in the mirror and begin working on what looked good on me regardless of the size on my label.
The best pointer I can give a curvy woman is to know your body shape. Knowing this will help you determine what you want to minimize and what you want to accentuate. If you have worked with me you know that I say over and over again... fit is about the silhouette you are trying to create not about the size you want to look.
If you want to create a waistline you need to create structure up top with seams and more substantial fabrics. If you are trying to balance your smaller lower half with your larger upper half you may want to stick with wide legged pants and fuller skirts. If you want to showcase your legs go for a print, a shorter skirt or a skinny pant. Silhouette is a very personal preference. Some women want an hourglass figure and some want more of a straight line. Your chosen silhouette is totally up to you and no matter your size it can be accomplished. You are the size you are, but we can create any silhouette!
